Privacy policy
Last updated: 12 August 2026
DentistTracker is designed to work without collecting personal information. There are no accounts, no sign-up forms and no tracking cookies.
What we process
- Postcode searches. If you search by postcode, your browser sends that postcode to postcodes.io (a free, open UK postcode API) to find your nearest town. We don't store it, and it isn't linked to you. Searching by town name stays entirely in your browser.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) keeps standard, short-lived request logs (IP address, page requested) for security and reliability, as almost every website does.
- Email. If you email us, we'll have your email address and whatever you send. We use it only to reply, and we don't add you to any list.
Cookies
The site sets no cookies. If we ever introduce features that need them (such as advertising or email alerts), we'll update this policy and ask for any consent the law requires first.
About the dentist data
The practice information on this site is business information about dental practices, published openly by the NHS — not personal data about site visitors. See how our tracking works.
If you're a dentist or practice owner
Some practice names are also a practitioner's own name, so listings can include personal data of named dentists: name, work address, work phone number, and the acceptance status and change history the practice reported to the NHS. We source this from the NHS website under the Open Government Licence v3.0, and publish it so patients can find NHS care — our legitimate interest as an information service. To correct it, update your NHS profile via the NHS Profile Manager (our next daily check picks it up), or contact us to object or ask questions about your data.
